Adrian Bailey Mp yesterday questioned the Department for Culture, Media and Sports for an update on discussions being held with FIFA over the 2018 world cup. Writing to the Department and the Sports Minister, Gerry Sutcliffe, Adrian Bailey MP asked: "What recent discussions the Department has had on the Football Association's bid to host the 2018 World Cup?" the Department replied: "There are regular discussions between the Department and we have recently been able to agree all necessary Guarantees to FIFA and a loan of £2.5m to support the bid." | |
